assemble and
add inner border

N Sew together 16 triangle-squares to make a short inner border strip (Quilt Assembly Diagram on page 52; note direction of seams). Press seams in one direction. The short inner border strip should be 21⁄2t32¹⁄ 2" including seam allowances. Repeat to make a second short inner border strip.

N Sew together 24 triangle-squares to make a long inner border strip (Quilt Assembly Diagram; note direction of seams). Press seams in one direction. The long inner border strip should be 21⁄2t48¹⁄ 2"

including seam allowances. Repeat to make a second long inner border strip.

N Join short inner border strips to short edges of quilt center. Add long inner border strips to remaining edges. Press all seams toward border.

add middle and
outer borders

N Cut and piece red print 11⁄2t42" strips to make:

1 2—11⁄2t50¹⁄ 2" middle border strips

1 2—11⁄2t36¹⁄ 2" middle border strips

N Sew short middle border strips to short edges of quilt center. Add long middle border strips to

remaining edges. Press all seams toward middle border.

N Cut and piece green floral 7 ^1⁄2t42" strips to make:

1 2—71⁄2t64¹⁄ 2" outer border strips

1 2—71⁄2t38¹⁄ 2" outer border strips

N Sew short outer border strips to short edges of quilt center. Add long outer border strips to remaining edges to complete quilt top. Press all seams toward middle border.
